The series 'Cages' is all about women trying to find freedom from society's twisted presumptions on what a women should or shouldn't be. The women are trapped within these cages of rash paint strokes or comic book strips that hide their individuality. This symbolises the struggle that women go through with having false and overrated expectations of perfect beauty as well as the restrictions that society put upon women by saying corrupting true beauty which imprisons their identity. Society's expectations for a woman, is asking for them to be a Super hero.

Personally, I love Sandra's work. Her use of different mediums makes it visually interesting and recognisable. The focus she has behind her collections is deep and is almost feminist like. And although it may take a while to see visually, it all ties together conclusively.
